The decision this page helps clarify
For Nigerian businesses evaluating an AI or workflow automation opportunity and deciding whether implementation is justified now.
01
Find the automation opportunity worth pursuing
Automation creates value when it changes a defined operating outcome and the surrounding work can support it.
- Identify repeated work, delay, re-entry, manual chasing or avoidable exception handling.
- Define the trigger, state, owner, decision and outcome before choosing tools.
- Separate routine execution from judgement that still requires a person.
- Estimate the operating burden that remains after automation, including review, exceptions and maintenance.
02
Design the operating contract before the integration
A dependable automation needs more than a connector or model. It needs explicit ownership, information, permissions, failure handling and recovery.
- Map the systems and data the workflow may read or change.
- Define approval, escalation, retry and reconciliation conditions.
- Limit automated authority to the job the evidence supports.
- Keep the implementation inspectable enough to explain what happened and recover when it fails.
03
Earn expansion with evidence
The first useful implementation should be bounded enough to measure before broader scope is granted.
- Deploy the smallest capability that can test the commercial or operating hypothesis.
- Measure movement, exceptions, recovery effort and the outcome the workflow exists to produce.
- Repair weak prerequisites instead of automating around them.
- Expand only when observed evidence supports broader automation.
